This one seems pretty obvious, however it gets missed often. When your users come to your site, they should instantly know what your business does and offers. A clean and clear headline helps capture your target audience and gets them to interact within your site. Including this within your site will certainly help your bounce rate and increase visitor engagement.


  1. Call to Action:

Call to action is referring to any link/button on your site. What is your main goal of the website? If you are selling products, your button would read "SHOP NOW". Making sure there is a CTA increases user engagement but also gets your user to do what you want them to do! Each page on your site should have some type of CTA for your users. Keep your buttons/links concise in the design/font/colors. It is important to have some uniformity within your site.


  1. Transparency:

Tell your story! The best way to interact with your users is being real with them. Let them know who is involved in the business, how everything got started, how long you have been open for, etc. Users love to feel connected with their favorite brands and maybe can relate in some areas. Make sure to have a contact form on your contact page for anyone who may have questions or concerns about something within your site and respond in an efficient manner.

SEO- Getting found on Google. This is one of the most important aspects of your site for ranking on the google search console. Doing some research and analyzation on your target audience and keywords is a must. SEO involves many different aspects usually split between on-page SEO and off-page SEO. On-page SEO deals with the keywords, alt codes, title tags, meta descriptions, etc. Off-page SEO deals with social media and blogging. When the two are fully optimized, the results will speak for themselves.


  1. Social Media:

I mean, its free! Instagram and Facebook have become the most popular social media platforms for small business to grow and share on. Growing a following on different platforms allows for better reach. Producing unique content consistently will increase of sharing posts and getting links back to your site. Allowing to rank higher within the search results.
